Background

In 2017, the Tharu community in Dallas, Texas faced an unexpected tragedy when one of its members, Rajmani Chaudhary, originally from Chitwan, Nepal, passed away suddenly due to a medical episode.

Community Response

During this difficult period, the Tharus and Friends Association (TFA) stepped in to support Mr. Chaudhary’s family. TFA organized a fund collection drive to cover his funeral expenses and to provide moral support for his surviving family members.

Fundraising Efforts

The community showed remarkable solidarity, with many members contributing generously to the cause. Through their collective efforts, a total of $2062.87 was raised and handed over to Mr. Chaudhary’s family to assist them during this challenging time.
