Overview of the Scholarship Program
Since its inception, the Tharus and Friends Association (TFA) has made significant strides in supporting education for students in Nepal by establishing a scholarship program. This initiative is dedicated to providing scholarships to students who demonstrate strong academic performance but face financial hardships. The amount awarded through the scholarship program depends primarily on the available funds, which are sourced from generous donations.
From 2009 to 2025, TFA has awarded scholarships totaling NRs 4,420,800 to 181 deserving students. The association extends sincere gratitude to all donors who have contributed, making these opportunities possible. Of the scholarships distributed, 158 have been general scholarships, while 23 have been named scholarships, reflecting both broad support and targeted sponsorships.
