Tharus and Friends Association (TFA) is pleased to announce the names of students who have been selected for TFA scholarships for 2021/2022 academic year. These scholarships are awarded each year to intelligent and financially deprived students studying at school, 10+2 and bachelors level of any disciplines in Nepal. This year, TFA awards a total of NRS 348,500 to fifteen (15) students. Of them, eleven (11) are selected for “General Scholarship” and four (4) of them are for “Named Scholarship”. Four Named Scholarships and their sponsors are Saroj Choudhary Scholarship (2) by Mr. Trib Choudhary, Basanti Devi Chaudhary Scholarship (1) by Dr. Ganesh Chaudhary and Chicagoland Tharu Society Scholarship by Chicagoland Tharu Society of Chicago. TFA received 89 applications this academic year.
TFA sincerely thanks all donors who have not only made it possible to continue this scholarship program year after year, but also to increase the number of recipients over the years. Donations come from members and friends living in many countries such as USA, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Nepal. Once again, TFA likes to extend its gratitude to all the supporters and well-wishers and request everyone to continue your support in future.
